MSG LABELS 8: NATURAL

Most people think that if food label  says "natural",  it cannot contains MSG. According to US consumer reports, 59% shoppers look for "natural" on food labels, while two third of consumers perceive no artificial ingredients, pesticides or GMO (Genetically Modified Foods) in products likewise labelled.

By food industry definition, all MSG is "naturally occurring." "Natural" doesn't mean "safe."  "Natural" only means that the ingredient started out in nature, like arsenic and hydrochloric acid. Processing, no matter how toxic the method and/or the ingredients used, is irrelevant to a product being called "natural".
